He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Tassel and Lois Van Tassel; his sister Barbara Griffin; and his grandson Parker Van Tassel. He is survived by: his wife Lexie Van Tassel (Mathis); his children, Deby Davis, Ted Van Tassel (Patti) and Tim Van Tassel (Barbara); and his brother-in-law Jimmy Mathis. He is also survived by niece and nephews.
