She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Alvarez and Luz Rico; and her siblings, Lupe Alvarez (Mary), Ricardo Alvarez (Jessica), Isabel Calloway (Bob), Nellie Rivera (Frank) and Mary Louise Madrid (Raymond).
She is survived by: her significant other Jose Ruben Rodriguez (Joe); her pet Banjo; her daughter Rebecca Velarde; her son-in-law Adrian; her sons, Richard Adrian and Ruben David; and her sisters, Wilma Alvarez, Lucy Estrada (Juan) and Alejandra Altuna. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
