He was predeceased by: his parents, Elton Raymond Yancey and Eddie Adell Davies; his son Duffy Yancey; Verna Turner. He is survived by: his wife Susie Yancey of Coahoma; his children, Darrell W. Yancey (Cheryl), Sissy Franklin (Odis) of Coahoma, Tammy Griffith of Coahoma and Mitzi Hicks (Dustin); and his sister Cleta Satterwhite of Big Spring. He is also survived by 11 grandkids and 6 great grandkids.
