He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Floyd Edge and Leatha Parker; his granddaughter Kristen Beard; and his siblings, Charles Edge and Wanda Thorton.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Edge; his children, James Edge (Shaun) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Charles Edge (Kathy) of Milford, TX, Gary Edge (D'Ann) of Fort Worth, TX, Daniel Edge of College Station, TX and Vonda Beard of Tomball, TX; his brother Thomas Edge (Angie) of Pasadena, TX; and his grandchildren, Ashley Luccock, Austin Edge, Alex Edge, Cody Edge, Gary Lee Edge, Jarett Edge, Travis Edge, Duncan Edge, Brittany Edge, Shelby Edge, Tristan Edge and Lauren Dawson. He is also survived by his 13 great-grandchildren.
The family ask that any donations be made to Missionary work in the Philippians.
