In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Mary Hook had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Mary Hook may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Lewis Hook and Mary Ainsworth Hook. She is survived by: her husband Robert David Korty of College Station; her sons, Robert Lindsay Korty of College Station and David Armistead Korty (Lauren) of San Diego, Calif.; her granddaughters, Rebecca Ann Korty and Katherine Lindsay Korty of San Diego; and her brother Andrew H. Hook (Maureen) of Virginia Beach. She is also survived by four nieces; and many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Episcopal Church (500 Court St, Portsmouth, VA 23704).
Memorial contributions can be made to the Aggieland Humane Society, the Portsmouth Humane Society, or to the Book of Remembrance at Trinity Episcopal Church in Portsmouth.
