Sue Ann McDowell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sue Ann McDowell (College Station, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 15, 2025 at the age of 75. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sue Ann McDowell to pay them a last tribute.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Veronica Homan (Schulze) and Wilfred "Shorty" Homan; her husband Jeff McDowell; her children, Patrick McDowell (Caysie), Megan Shorter (Daniel), Nala, Bolt and Nebula; and her siblings, Arlene Pugh (Bill), Ginny Highfill (Lee), JoAnn Homan, Mary Moore (Bob), Rita Anderson (Barry) and Ted Homan (Paloma). She was also cherished by ten nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Callaway-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Center (3001 S. College Ave., Bryan, TX 77801). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (2541 Earl Rudder Fwy, College Station, TX 77845).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local elementary/intermediate school library to support the purchase of books, or to a memorial trust the family plans to establish to foster a love of reading in children.
