He was predeceased by : his parents, Freeman Robert Marti and Bonita Justine Marti. He is survived by : his wife Patrica Gaye Dubose Marti; his children, Christopher David Marti, Robert Jesse Marti (Heather) and Keira Elisabeth Marti; his children-in-law, Kimma Troup and Jack Weeks; his daughter Katherine Victoria Mock (Adam); his grandchildren, Trevor Robert Marti and Madelei Yvonne Marti; his brother Robert Louis Marti (Sherry Lynn); his niece Victoria Nicole Beavers; his great-nephew Jacob Nathaniel Beavers; his niece Jessica Michelle Broome; his great-nieces, Briana Justine Marti, Michelle Rene Marti and Mia Elizabeth Marti; and also Greyson Robert Beavers.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hillier Funeral Home (4080 Hwy 6, College Station, TX 77845). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church (217 W 26th St, Bryan, TX 77803).

He earned a National Science Foundation scholarship to Stanford for his Master of Science degree..
