He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Wendt and Marie Wendt; his wife Bitty; and his siblings, Pete, Winifred Winnie, Edith, Wilbert, Ralph, Harold and Vernon.

He is survived by: his children, Randy Wendt, Linda English (Greg), Ray Wendt (Martha) and Clarence "Butch" Wendt, Jr. (Debbie); his grandchildren, Stephan Wendt, Nathan Wendt, Jason Wendt, Christopher Wendt, Wesley Wendt, Philip Wendt, Sara Sanders, Rachael Blasig, Dallas Wendt and Maysa Wendt; and his stepgranddaughters, Brittany Trochez and Brandy Vaughn. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
