We are sad to announce that on January 14, 2024, at the age of 72, Rhonda Ackley Swenson of Conroe, Texas, born in Whitney, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Cotton James and Patricia James; and her husband Carl Swenson. She is survived by: her son Freeland Ackley; her daughter-in-law Brooke Ackley; her grandchildren, River, Wylder, Story and Judah; and her siblings, Monte James and Pam Jenkins. She is also survived by her family, friends, and neighbors.

“Very shocked to hear of Rhonda's passing, I got to know Rhonda a little bit when I would see her at the garden, since we both had vegetable plots at the Conroe Senior Citizens Gardens, she was a beautiful person always helpful with, and in fact she asked many people including her church to pray for my recovery from spinal surgery 2 years ago. She brought me a pot roast when I came home for recovery. Anyway, I will miss her always, and want to give my heartfelt condolences to her family.”
