She was predeceased by : her parents, Jesse Roy Carpenter and Frances Carpenter (Dyar); her husband Albert V. Freeman; her sons, Kevin Freeman, Jeff Alexander, John Alexander (Butch) and Albert V. Freeman, Jr.; her siblings, Dorothy Carpenter-Epps, Wanda Carpenter, Sonny Carpenter, Dale Carpenter, Jerry Carpenter and Kerry Carpenter; and her great grandchild Jacksyn Rubee Webber.

She is survived by : her children, Sharon Grimes (John), Joanna Freeman, Sandy Dunson and Russell Freeman; and her sister-in-law Beverly Carpenter. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bates-Cooper-Sloan Chapel (2805 S Jefferson Ave, Mt Pleasant, TX 75455). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
