He was predeceased by : his parents, O. C. Sewell Sr. and Lillian Lee Sewell (Wells); his daughter Carla Sewell; and his grandsons, Adam Schechter and Dylan Rivera.

He is survived by : his wife Mary Sewell; his daughter Gina Horton (Micheal); his grandchildren, Nicholas Horton (Shawnye) and Brianna Horton; and his great grandchildren, Holt Horton and Bentley Horton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
