As Douglas departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Douglas may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Douglas leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas W. Grant, Sr. and Iris Powell; and his wife Rhoda Joy Anderson. He is survived by: his sister Betty Jane Grant Armstrong; and his children, Douglas William Grant (Jenni) of College Station and Carol Ann Shanklin (Pat) of George West. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Douglas Grant, Jr. to the Oakville Baptist Church.
