She is survived by : her daughter Phyllis Yohe of Mt. Erie, Illinois; her adoptive children, Gayle Carter of Illinois and Stacy Rey of Corpus Christi, Texas; her stepchildren, Gabriel Mireles, Kenneth Walker, Connie Pierson and Alene Land; and her stepgrandson Fred Paul of Corpus Christi, Texas. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew.

Beyond her professional and personal pursuits, Edwina made significant contributions to her community, extending a helping hand to many in need.
