Cortez; his children, Irma Otte (Andrew) of Castroville and Joe Edward Cortez (Kristi) of Odem; his grandchildren, Crystal Hargrove, Taylor Otte, Lauren Cortez, Danielle Cortez and Ryan James Cortez; and his siblings, Hilda Weaver (Floyd), Anita Esparza (Oliver), Olga Diaz (Cecil), Mary Cortez (Carlos Perez), Velma Posada (Ruben), Connie Garza (Joe), Sylvia Silvas (Johnny), Belia Rodriguez (Juan), Rachel Gutierrez (Joe) and Michael Chapa (Nelda).
