It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Juanita Orta (Corpus Christi, Texas), who passed away on May 29, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfredo Jalifi and Ernestina Jalifi; and her husband Ramon Orta. She is survived by: her children, Raymond Orta (Rachel), Terry Orta-Teri, Daniel Orta, Oscar Orta, Gina Orta (Manuel Ortiz), Ruben Orta (Monica), Edward Orta (Priscilla), Ben Orta (Lena) and Amanda Jasso (Adan); and her brother Leonel Jalifi. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Seaside Funeral Home (4357 Ocean Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78412). A rosary will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (509 Nogales St., Corpus Christi, Texas 78416). A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Seaside Memorial Park (4357 Ocean Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78412).
