With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sarah Jane Otto of Corpus Christi, Texas, who passed away on October 12, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Irving Kent and Cora Pearl Mhoon Kent; her brother Jimmy Don Kent; her sister-in-law Lizabeth "Bette" Kent; her sister Patsy Ruth Adams; her brother-in-law James Gordon Adams; her daughter Kimberly Ann Arellano; and her grandchildren, Audriana Antoinette Arellano and Dylan Wayne McMillan.
She is survived by: her husband Alfred Hallman Otto; her brother H. L. Kent of Mart, TX; her sister-in-law Carole Kent of Johnson City, TN; her daughters, Pamela McMillan (Brent) of Nogal, NM and Charlene Hooten (Russell) of Corpus Christi, TX; her son-in-law Raul Arellano of Stephenville, TX; her grandchildren, Michael Ratliff (Katie) of New Braunfels, TX, Sarah Fox (Chris) of Desdemona, TX, Staci Arellano of Stephenville, TX, Alicia Arellano (Kasey Reynolds) of Stephenville, TX, Kaitlyn McMillan of Round Rock, TX, Ashley Hooten (Joseph Graham) of Omaha, NE and Grace Hooten of Dallas, TX; and her great grandchildren, Macey Verner of Lubbock, TX, Paige Verner of Nacogdoches, TX, Hunter Verner of San Augustine, TX, Braydn Ratliff of Pleasanton, TX, Jocelyn Verner of San Augustine, TX, Bryson Kent Donahey of Flushing, MI, Kedzie Campbell of New Braunfels, TX and Brynn Campbell of New Braunfels, TX. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She provided 24-hour care to Alzheimer's patients through her company, Angel Wings and concluded her working career as a nursing home activities director, providing care and support to others until she had to retire due to her health.
