He was predeceased by : his parents, Vito Cantu Sr. and Maria Teressa Cantu; his wife Olga Vera Cantu; and his siblings, Antonio Cantu, David Cantu, Javier Cantu, Anna Marie Navarro and Maria S. Avila (Vicente).

He is survived by : his children, Jason V. Cantu, Vito Cantu III, Michelle Cantu, Toni Marie Cantu and Antonio Cantu; his adoptive daughter Evalynn Kay Puente; his grandchildren, Jaden, Victoria, Aiden, Jada, Arianny, Blake, Avery, Jace and Olga; and his sisters, Minerva Trevino and Sylvia Cantu Cavada (Charlie). He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews, cousins, and longtime friends.

Trevino Funeral Home requires anyone attending funeral services wear a face mask due to the current pandemic.
