He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Staggs and Jessie Staggs; his brother Billy Staggs; his son Terry Staggs; his son-in-law David Harkins; and his granddaughter Amy Hathaway.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his daughters, Kelly (Billy Navarre) and Mindy Harkins; and his grandson Jordan Staggs. He is also survived by many family members, but leaves behind nephews, nieces.
A graveside service was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Dresden Cemetery (13672 FM744, Barry, TX 75102). Visitation was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Liberty Baptist Church (333 W Centerville Rd, Garland, TX 75041). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
