He was predeceased by: his brother Gary Sparks. He is survived by: his wife Dy Anna Sparks; his sons, Justin Sparks (Amanda) and Corbet Sparks (Liza); his grandchildren, Ariana and Bria; his goddaughter Brooke (Scott Tucker); Laith and Kailei Tucker.

Steve's family is asking that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the American Heart Association in his honor.
