It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Lee James of Crockett, Texas, who passed away on May 14, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Bruce James, Sr.; his grandparents, Joseph Apollos, Fanny Elizabeth Alford Vaden, Robert Bruce and Beulah Blanch Bennett James; his mother Bernice Lavon Vaden Lively; his brothers, Marvin Bruce James, Jr. and David Paul James; his siblings' children, Leigh Ann McCelvey, John Kenneth McCelvey and Melissa Kay James; his great-nephew David James; and his great-niece Melissa Stanley.
He is survived by: his siblings, Lyn McCelvey (Kenneth) and Tommy James (Linda); and his siblings' children, Michael James, Douglas Brumble, Kim Goodrum, Jo Beth McCelvey Martinez, Leslie McCelvey Gilchrist, David Hollis James, Avery Bruce James, Theresa James, Christoper Dan James, Georgette James, Tammy James and Marvin James.
