She was predeceased by : her parents, Albert Byron Smith, Sr. and Dona Lee Gorbet-Smith; her husband Clarence Rhodes; her children, Darryl "Blue" Burns and Corky Burns; her granddaughter Alison Rhodes; and her siblings, Albert Byron Smith, Maggie Lou Smith Findley, Ruby Lenora Smith-Findley and Dorothy Mae Smith Troxel.

She is survived by : her daughter Karen Smith (Kent); her granddaughters, Hannah Gayle Tillman-Dutton, Misty Crawford and Mickie Rumsey; her daughter-in-law Susie Burns; and her great grandchildren, Gage Crawford, Avery Crawford and Rayna Gayle Crawford.
