It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lydia Lucille Matthews of Crosby, Texas, who passed away on June 6, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, W. T. Donaldson (Raby) and Clara Donaldson. She is survived by: her husband Frank Arnold Matthews; her sons, Brenton Matt Matthews (Heather) of Friendswood, Clint Jason Matthews of Crosby and Joshua Joel Matthews (Kristie) of Hankamer; her grandchildren, Victoria Elisabeth Shrum (Cory) of Splendora, Ashley Nichole Hunter of Friendswood, Conner Jason Matthews of Livingston, Colby Walker Matthews (Mackenzie) of Hankamer, Caley Marie Matthews and Sam Houston University; her great grandchildren, Nico Robert Burton Gosnell, Arthur Taylor Cole Gosnell and Rhett Walker Matthews; and her siblings, Wilford Theodore "Teddy" Donaldson (Rosemarie) and Carla Donaldson Maness (Larry).
