He was predeceased by: his parents, J. T. Barnes and Gladys Wyatt Barnes; and his wife Nancy Louise Orr. He is survived by: his children, Bruce Wayne Barnes (Sandra) of Kingwood, Bobby Shane Barnes (Laura) of Lafayette, Louisiana and Jamie Kay Apple (Rickey) of Cross Plains; and his sister Carmelitta DeHart of Christianburg, Virginia.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
