Rosario Cantu Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 17, 2025, at the age of 79, Rosario Cantu in Crystal City, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorenzo Fuentes and Paula Fuentes (Cepeda); her husband Ruben; her son Rey; her grandchildren, Andrew and Angel; her siblings, Ramiro Fuentes, Guadalupe Fuentes, Daniel Fuentes, Lorenzo Fuentes, Francisco Fuentes and Paula Fuentes; and her siblings-in-law, Fermin, Francisco "Frank" Cantu, Belia and Bonnie Cantu.
She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Cantu (Lesa), Fernando Ruben Jr. Cantu (Christine), Rachel Cantu and Rosa Maria Stein; her grandchildren, Alexander, Jordan, Brady, Shaliko, Ethan, Olivia, Ashley, Evan, Colby and Sabrina; her great grandchildren, Ayla, Bria and Felix; her siblings, Santiago Fuentes, Santa Martinez and Estella Contreras; her siblings-in-law, Fred Cantu, Maria Edwards (Jeff) and Melba Cantu; and her pet Chuey. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Oakcrest Funeral Services - Algona (218 S Moore St, Algona, IA 50511). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
