With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alvin Gunkel of Daingerfield, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 8, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugo Orland Gunkel and Vearl Rachel Gunkel; and his brother Norman Gunkel. He is survived by: his children, Alvin Gunkel, Jr. and Tara Gunkel; his grandchildren, A. J., James, Matthew and Cynthia; his great grandchild Theo; his cousin Sandy Lanier (J. C.); his niece Caryn Gunkel; Zoe, Zaida, Mikey, Scotty, Sandy, Clover, Miguel and Janet Larsen.
