He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Barbara Ann Pahoundis (Stiegle); his parents, Elijah Georgiou Pahoundis and Mary Naomi Oren; his siblings, George David Pahoundis, John Daniel Pahoundis Sr., Paul Allen Pahoundis, Louis Elijah Pahoundis, Sophia Louise Black and Margaret Elizabeth Swainston (Mathios); his children, Jeanette, Patricia Beesing (Jim), James (Jodith) and David; and his sister Grace Evangeline Peel. He was also cherished by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
