We are sad to announce that on September 2, 2022, at the age of 87, Ellis Olmstead of Dallas, Texas, born in Galveston, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Erling Olmstead and Edna Olmstead (Holmes); and his sister Erlyn Efird. He is survived by: his wife Patti Le Chapman; his children, Kay Ellen Kirby (Kevin) of Sherman, Lee Olmstead (Julie) of Sherman and Andy Olmstead (Stacey) of Sherman; his grandchildren, Emily Kirby of Ft. Worth, Lauren Kirby of Waco, Michal Overturf (Travis) of Sherman, Clayton Olmstead (Mary Virginia) of Dallas, Claire Olmstead of Redlands, CA and Brett Olmstead of Sherman; his great grandchild Margot Overturf; and his sibling's children, Chris Efird (Jennifer), Charlotte Efird, Craig Calhoun (Tina) and Jill Knocke (Toby).
Ellis helped grow the business for almost 60 years and he continued to come into the office until the covid epidemic kept him at home.
