He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Hutchinson Polley Harris and Fred F Polley, Sr.; his brothers, Patrick, Johnnie, Tom and Terry; and his siblings-in-law, Ken and Patti.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia Carey Polley; his children, John, Bruce (Caroline) and Rebecca; the parent of his children Sidney Polley; his daughters, Sarah (Lee) and Elizabeth (Carlos); his sister Susan; and his niece Cindy (Lesley). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
