She was predeceased by: her parents, Victoriano Chaires and Consuelo Chaires; her siblings, Francisco Chaires and Ines Chaires; and her great grandchild Christian Ariaz.

She is survived by: her husband Miguel Olivares; and her children, Veronica Ariaz, Miquel, Sergio Olivares and Maribel Mercado. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
