With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hattie Jane Geanes (Dallas, Texas), born in Memphis, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 6, 2024 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by : her mother Jeanetta Criswell. She is survived by : her husband Sam Geanes, Jr.; her children, Sammie Geanes of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Deborah Geanes of Oklahoma City, Sherrie Beck of Frisco and Rhonda Geanes of Oklahoma City; her sisters, Virginia Cash (Robert) of Memphis and Robbie Cash (James) of Memphis, Tennessee; and also Street. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Mount Zion Baptist Church (9550 Shepherd Rd, Dallas, TX 75243). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 at the Rockwall Cemetery (1300 S Goliad St, Rockwall, TX 75087).
