We are sad to announce that on August 26, 2023, at the age of 87, John Garrett of Dallas, Texas, born in Harleton, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Nell Lawrence (Willie), John "Bug" Garrett III, Evelyn "Bodie" Hubbard (Michael), Pamela "Pam" Tilmorn (Dietrick) and Simona Gail Taylor; and his siblings, Willie B. Garrett, Verbie Lee Lary, Margie Ree of Washington, Ruthene McCuin and Johnnie Faye Shackelford. He is also survived by grandchildren; (19) great grandchildren; (8) great great grandchildren and also a host of nieces, nephews and many cousins.
