He was predeceased by: his parents, Alois Walter (Shorty) and Marie Catherine Hartman Walter; his former wife Agnes Marie Hodges Walter; and his sisters, Dolores Swirczynski and Sandra Corcoran.
He is survived by: his wife Sammie Walter; his children, Doug Walter (Wendy), Brian Walter (Karen), Craig Walter (Tracy), Blake Walter (Taunya) and Laura Walter Becker; and his siblings, Jeanette Karr, Eugene Walter and Claude Walter (Nancy). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren.
