She was predeceased by: her husband Ellis Yerian; her parents, Howard Curtis Thornton and Odessa Blackmon; and her siblings, Doug, Stanley, Miller, Beatrice and Gaye.

She is survived by: her siblings, Fred Thornton of Madden, MS, Audrey Enlow of Madden, MS, Hilton Thornton (Margarita) of Madden, MS and Mark Thornton (Robin) of Palestine, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
