He was predeceased by : his parents, Alexander McCoo and Classy McCoo; his wife Hazel Leach; his siblings, Houston, Telzie, John, Alexander, Jr., Lucille, Ruby Lee and Willie Mae; and his friend Loraine Thomas.

He is survived by : his daughter Marshell (Eugene); his granddaughter Olivia; his great grandchildren, Leeona and Dominique; and his niece Jacqueline Adams. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
