He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Dunham and Mary Helen Dunham; his brothers, Howard and Tom; and his grandparents, Carroll and Amy Swanson.

He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his brother William (Jane); and his sons, Stephen (Michele), Holden (Genevie) and Wylie (Patti). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
