He was predeceased by : his parents, Margaret Carroll and William Carroll of Springfield, Massachusetts.; and his brothers, Jimmy and Charles Carroll. He is survived by : his children, Susan and Shawn (Bob); the mother of his children Margaret; and his wife Mary Carroll. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or The Prostate Cancer Foundation.
