She was predeceased by: her husband C. B. Chavez; her sons, John Chavez, Richard Chavez and Christopher Chavez; her grandsons, John Richard Chavez (J. R.), Christopher Michael Chavez and Richard Joseph Chavez (R. J.); her mother Susana Garcia; and her siblings, David Ruiz, Roy Ruiz, Marcelino Ruiz, Anthony Guerra, Inez Hernandez, Hortensia Retta and Rosemary Perez.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ernestine Sanchez, Nickie Chavez and Mary Chavez; her siblings, Mary Hernandez and Joe Valdez; and her great grandchild John Michael Chavez. She is also survived by family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary Hill Funeral Home (3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
