He was predeceased by : his parents, Oscar Borchardt and Alma Borchardt; and his siblings, Beverly Brown, Sandra Puckett and Gene Borchardt.

He is survived by : his wife Margie Elster Borchardt; his children, Jeffrey Otto Borchardt (Mireya) of Bay City and Audrey Kay Borchardt Lopez (Larry) of Rosenberg; his grandchildren, Tyson Lopez, Farren Lopez, Bianca Borchardt and Sophie Borchardt; and his brother John Borchardt of Burnet.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First English Lutheran Church, Damon, Texas or any charity of your choice.
