With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Berniece Hale of Decatur, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Berniece left this world on October 29, 2025 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Rawle and Lottie Rawle; her husband Joe Hale; and her siblings, Cortez Rawle, Jehu Rawle, Randle Rawle and Wanda Rawle.
She is survived by: her children, Glenda Terrell (Rodney), Connie Redwine (Tony) and Ronnie Hale (Tonya); her grandsons, Steven Terrell (Jennifer), Rusty Terrell (Amber), Cheyenne Redwine (Meghanne), Laramie Redwine, Casey Hale (Taylor) and Cody Hale (Crystal); her great grandchildren, Reid Terrell (Briley), Gage Terrell, Zane, Allie, Cassidy Terrell, Tyler, Hunter Hale, Kylie, Kellan Hale, Cason and Carson Hale; her sister Maxine McDonald; and her sisters-in-law, Patt Spoede, Darlene Hale and Lois Davidson. She is also survived by extended family members and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hawkins Funeral Home (405 E Main St, Decatur, TX 76234). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (1200 Preskitt Rd, Decatur, TX 76234). A burial will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM at the Oaklawn Cemetery (465 Cemetery Rd, Decatur, TX 76234).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Decatur Youth Fund.
