He was predeceased by: his parent Royce Cecil; and his brother Jimmie Hudson. He is survived by: his wife Laura Hudson of Decatur; his daughters, Marsha Gay Hafer (Justin) of Argyle, Sherry Lynn Shelton of Ft. Worth and Ashleigh Renee Berg (Rusty) of Decatur; his grandchildren, Sandon, Kreid, Colby, Stockton, Dayne, Kennedy, Boden and Chase; and his siblings, Gary Hudson (Darlene) of Briar, Linda Hollis (Kenneth) and Joyce Horton (Louis) of Decatur. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, many other family members, and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hawkins Funeral Home (405 E Main St, Decatur, TX 76234). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM at the Paradise Cemetery.
