She was predeceased by: her husband Sebastian Uñate; her parents, Luis Ruiz and Petra Guzman; and her children-in-law, Pepita Uñate and Aureliano Fraga.

She is survived by: her children, Luis Uñate (Rosa), Jaime Uñate, Sebastian Uñate, Carlos Uñate (Mayte), Mario Uñate (Lily), Petra Fraga, Luz Garcia (Hector), Luly Montalvo (Juan), Lupe Meza (Jesus), Berta Ozuna (Juan) and Teresa Garza (Gerardo). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
