She was predeceased by : her parents, Lino Reyes and Sofia Trevino; her husband Gumersindo Melendez Vazquez; and her siblings, Arnulfo Reyes, Ramon Reyes, Virginia Gonzales, Antonia Perez and Refugio.

She is survived by : her sister Isabel Hernandez; her close friend Gumercindo; and her children, Jose Antonio Ovalle, Blas Arturo Melendez, Veronica Sofia Acosta and Gume Melendez. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
