He was predeceased by: his sons, Jacob Hawkins and Micah Hawkins; his parents, Tommie Sue Hawkins and Jimmy Dale Hawkins; and his son Joshua Hawkins.
He is survived by: his son James Lucas Hawkins (Melissa Hawkins) of Sherman, Texas; his granddaughter Malyssa-Sue Lysell Hawkins of Sherman; his stepgrandchildren, Jayna McBride of Farmersville, Joseph McBride of McKinney, Briana Stapleton, Victoria Joann Stapleton of Van Alstyne and Brandon Wayne Stapleton II of Kingston; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Maverick Kurt and Emersyn-Kay Morrow; his sister Judy Hawkins of Denison; his sibling's children, James Daniel Garcia (Leigh Ann Garcia) of Denison and Jessica Garcia of Sherman; and his great-nephew Jax Owen.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fisher Funeral Home (604 W Main St, Denison, TX 75020).
