It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carolyn Joyce Akins of Denton, Texas, who passed away on October 10, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Marie Brown; her husband Dennis Akins; her son Dennis Jr.; and her siblings, Jim, Gary, Rusty, Mike and Cherry Steagall.
She is survived by: her daughter Cindy Beavers (Kevin); her grandchildren, Sarah Beavers and Mitchel Beavers; and her siblings, Tommy Brown, Barbara McDaniel and Rayanne Gentry. She is also survived by nieces and nephews who will cherish their Aunt.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Roselawn Memorial Park (3801 Roselawn Dr, Denton, TX 76205).
