We are sad to announce that on April 11, 2022, at the age of 25, Cheyanne Mercedes Latham of Denton, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parent Lori Walden; her grandmother Eddie Bernice Leal; and her nephew Jason Haley. She is survived by : her children, Bri'elle La'Shay Davidson, Jordynne Marie Davidson, Amari Bernice Davidson and Lovell Chaymar Davidson; her siblings, Justin Latham of Denton, Jessica Haley of Denton and Mary Latham of Denton; and her grandfather Ildefonso Leal Garcia.

“Kim and Angie are not my sisters but I call them that and most of the younger kids call me Aunt Lisa as did Cheyanne and Justin I was not Lori’s sister but her kids called me aunt Lisa and Jessica was a sister to Cheyanne I know that Thomas must be hurting but Chey did not see her as her father and she also has Mary as her sister so she has Jessica,Justin and Mary as her siblings”

“why are you doing this, they know who was who, and Cheyenne chose to go by name LEAL for a reason, she wouldn’t have chose to use the Latham even on her obituary, and most of us that KNEW her knows she would not have done that, figure it was done for legal reasons only by the funeral home, and her mother the one that raised her , her only true PARENT sure would not have liked it, just because your a sperm donor, a biological father doesn’t make you a DAD!! She chose to call those girls sisters because that’s who she was raised around and whether people like it or not she CHOSE THEM AS HER SISTERS!... so let people put that in their pipes and smoke it, you reap what you sow. Deadbeat Dads don’t count!! ... PS. They were kind of enough to mention Mary.”

“Im sorry for yall lost.. Cheyanne was to young to leave us.. She left behind 4 beautiful babies. Her dad Thomas , her only sibling Justin Latham.. Cheyanne had a lot of cousins that claim her as a sister. But Lori only gave birth to 2 kids Justin n Cheyanne Latham... Cheyanne joins her mother in heaven just 7 months later we lay her to rest too.”
