He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Carlton Gordon and Ila Bess Hurst Gordon; and his former wife Marjorie Ann Sloan Gordon. He is survived by: his children, Guy Sloan Gordon, Kimberly Sanders Mitchell (Bruce) and Richard Bryan Sanders (Charlotte); and his grandchildren, Will Gordon, Constance Gordon (Kyle), Tayler Mitchell Gumble (Monty) and Brendan Mitchell (Claire).
