He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Sanford (Ellen Sanford) and Esie Viola McGee Sanford; and his siblings, Dolores, Glenda, Jean, John, Gerald, Donald, Ronnie and Robert.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Long of Perry Sanford, W. D, John David, Robert Sanford, Kenny Mitchell, Heath Medley, Greg Medley, Ron, Shirley Sears, Bryce and Sheila Ivings; his grandchildren, Cody Sanford, Kyle Sanford, Sierra Sanford, Levi Mitchell, Ronnie Sears, Andrew and Ethan Ivings; and his great grandchildren, Keegan Sanford and Everest Sanford.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home (705 N Locust St, Denton, TX 76201). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Jackson Cemetery.
