He was predeceased by : his parents, Vergie Colvin and Bill Colvin. He is survived by : his wife Carlon Colvin of Denver City; his sons, Donald Colvin of Dallas, Texas and Billy Colvin of Dallas, Texas; and his stepdaughter Tina Snead (Steven) of Denver City. He is also survived by five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
