He was predeceased by : his parents, Zelma Woodard, (Daley) and Joseph Edmond Woodard, Sr.; his former life partner Joy Woodard; his siblings, Joe Woodard, Raymond Woodard and Lenora Baker; and his grandchildren, Cody Marion and Chastity Romans.

He is survived by : his wife Betty Woodard of Denver City, Texas; and his children, Larry Woosley (Brenda) of Odessa, Jerry Woosley (Debra) of Denver City, Texas, Connie Bronniman (Weston) of Windsor and Rita Ann McKaughan (Tommy) of Blanket, Texas. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
