She was predeceased by : her parents, Edith Brooks (Sampson) and Charles Brooks; and her husband John Avara. She is survived by : her children, Rex Avara of Denver City, Jeff Avara (Rebecca) of Balch Springs, Texas and Stacy Sisk (Michael) of Levelland, Texas. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
